The Jonas Brothers — travelling both as a pack and on solo expeditions — have been all over Toronto these past few weeks, and Joe Jonas just made a surprise stop at one of the city’s hottest new restaurants.

From dining at Adrak to showing up to Hemingway’s for a trivia night about their own movie, the Jonas Brothers have been making their presence known across Toronto while they are in town to film a top-secret-but-not-secret-at-all anniversary special for Disney+.

I’m not afraid to admit it: I was always a Joe girl growing up. While the rest of the brothers are , something about those flat-ironed bangs and white skinny jeans just had by little pre-teen heart in a chokehold.

That’s why, of all the Jonas Brothers appearances that have been happening across Toronto in recent weeks, it’s the ones where Joe makes a solo appearance that particularly light my fire.

After making a splash frequenting Ossington (maybe he’s been taking notes from fellow heartthrob Jacob Elordi) a few weeks ago, Joe seems to have discovered Brockton Village, with his latest foray onto the Toronto food scene.

The Cake by the Ocean singer, fittingly, stopped by College Street’s Gateau Ghost on Friday afternoon, stopping to pose for a friendly photo with founder Jayden Park.

Gateau Ghost owner, Jayden Park, shared a selfie with Joe Jonas at Gateau Ghost.

Gateau Ghost, now a Brockton Village haunt, started as a pandemic project for Park, before he began selling his bespoke madeleines at pop-ups around the city, ultimatey opening his restaurant, which serves his much-loved baked goods as well as a bangin’ brunch menu, last year.

Most recently, the restaurant has also begun to offer dinner service and, Joe, if you’re reading this, you’re going to want to check that out, too.

Only time will tell how long Toronto will get to bask in the glow of the Jonas Brothers’ presence, and moreover, where they’ll appear next, but one thing is certain: those boys have got some serious taste.

Gateau Ghost is located at 974 College Street.
