Spotify is down for thousands of people globally.

All we know is that around 8:00 a.m. EST, the music streaming giant’s app stopped working for many users, and looking at Downdetector, the outage appears to be ongoing at the time of writing.

Spotify has confirmed the outage and, in a forum post, has clarified that its tech team is looking into the issue and will post an update once it’s been fixed.

We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!

If you’re having issues, you can keep your eye on the Spotify forum post, the app’s social media or this story for an update.
