Multiple people have been evacuated from a two-storey building that is at risk of collapsing on Dundas Street West near Kensington Market. 

At approximately 10 a.m. on Friday, Toronto Police say officers responded to reports of a building that was leaning towards the sidewalk and street area on Dundas Street West. 

According to Toronto Fire, the front façade and roof of the building — which is located near Augusta Avenue — have been compromised and are “at risk of collapsing.” 

Fire crews searched the building and evacuated up to 10 people, with no reports of injuries. Photos shared by Toronto Fire show the building visibly leaning towards the sidewalk and the area marked off by red caution tape. 

At the time of this article’s publication, Toronto Fire are “preparing for any further impact of a collapse.”
