The streets of Toronto will be looking a lot like the halls of East High this month, as some of the stars from Disney’s iconic High School Musical franchise will be dancing their way into the six.
Fan Expo, Canada’s largest fan convention (and the third largest pop culture event in North America), is right around the corner, returning to Toronto later this August — and this year, it’s packing some serious star power.
If you thought the news of Oscar-winning actress Marissa Tomei making an appearance at the convention was exciting, you’re in for a treat, because FanExpo just announced that Lucas Grabeel and Corbin Bleu, perhaps better known by their Wildcat monikers Ryan and Chad, will also be in attendance.
Easily two of the most memorable characters from the HSM franchise, and purveyors of what might just be the greatest baseball diamond dance-off of all time (ok, and maybe the only one,) the actors are both slated to appear on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the convention.
If you want to Bop to the Top of the line for photos, you can already reserve your reservations to take a photo with Grabeel and Bleu for $85 each, or $155 with both actors through Fan Expo’s website. The actors will also be offering $7o autographs at the convention.
Much like they were in the HSM movies, Grabeel and Bleu will be in good company with some major star power at Fan Expo 2024, which will also feature appearances from Simu Liu, Jurrasic World’s Bryce Dallas Howard, Frozen‘s Josh Gad, Superbad’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse and the cast of Letterkenny.
Fan Expo is taking place Thursday, Aug 22 to Sunday, Aug 25 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Tickets to the event are on sale now through their website.
