Taylor Swift has officially landed in Toronto.
Excited fans poured into Rogers Centre for the first of six shows in the city on the evening of Nov. 14, and it’s safe to say it was a flying success.
From the surprise songs to the epic classics we know and love, along with her opener and horses, here’s what you may have missed at Taylor Swift’s first night of her Eras Tour in Toronto.
Night one of Taylor Swift in Toronto
Taylor Swift fans have waited over a year for this day, and didn’t let a little cold weather or rain get them down.
Attendees showed up in their best cold weather-friendly Eras outfits and posed outside of the Rogers Centre’s “Taylor Swift The Eras Tour” friendship bracelet sign ahead of the concert.
Even the police horses on-site showed up with their own friendship bracelets.
So let’s get into the show itself.
Gracie Abrams opens
The first of six performances started out with an opening act from one of music’s fastest-growing artists, Gracie Abrams.
The singer-songwriter took to her Instagram stories before the show posting a photo of the outside of the Rogers Centre with the caption “Heyyyyyyyyy.”
Abrams, who captivated the crowd, also posted after the show resharing a photo and writing, “Toronto night one we loved you thank you.”

According to one of blogTO’s team members who attended the concert, Swift told the crowd that “The Folklore era belongs to Canada,” adding that the album features perfect music to describe the vibe here. We love to hear it!
That wasn’t the only comment the mega superstar made about Canada.
Swift spoke about the Canadian tour being the final leg, stating, “I wanted to spend those last shows with the most generous, encouraging, welcoming, passionate, excitable fans, so I came to see you in Toronto.”

Fans patiently waited for one of the best parts of the Eras Tour, the surprise songs that are exclusive to each individual show, and night one didn’t disappoint.
The surprise songs on Nov. 14 included “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” from her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department and “This Is Why We Can’t Have Nice Things” from Reputation, which has yet to be released as a “Taylor’s Version” album.
From there, Swifties were treated to a piano mashup of Lover’s “False God” and Evermore’s “tis the damn season.”
Eras Tour Toronto setlist
The setlist generally hasn’t changed from her earlier tour dates, minus the addition of The Tortured Poets Department songs after the album was released.
So, while the surprise songs can be unpredictable, one thing fans can know for sure going into the shows is that they will get to hear the biggest hits such as “Fortnite” from The Tortured Poets Department and “Blank Space” from 1989.

Taylor Swift Toronto tickets
If you’re hoping to grab some last minute tickets, be sure to check Ticketmaster the day of each concert if you are a verified fan.
For the Nov. 14 show, a batch of last-minute tickets were released, and there are also resale tickets available but you may have to dish out some big bills, with most tickets priced between $1,800 and $2,500 each.
What to expect at Vancouver shows
Toronto isn’t the only Canadian stop on the Eras Tour, as Taylor Swift will be closing out the entire tour on the other side of the country in Vancouver, B.C.
The last three shows will be on Dec. 6, 7 and 8 at B.C. Place.
Swifties can keep a close eye on the surprise songs performed in Toronto and see what hasn’t been played yet to try to predict which songs Swift will sing in Vancouver.
Our team member at the show said that everything was very “organized” in Toronto, and that a couple of the highlights include the set design and choreography.
