Three years ago, 14 Kildonan Dr. was a quaint three-bedroom house that looked like it had been in the same family for at least 40 years.

With faded wallpaper, appliances from the late ’60s, and water-damaged walls, it needed a lot of work.

But boy, did it get the glow up of the decade.

14 Kildonan Dr. has been completely transformed into a modern, custom-built four-bedroom, four-bathroom home.

The living room.

The home is now bright, airy, and filled with natural light.

The view from the front entrance.

As you walk into the home, you’re greeted by soaring ceilings and views of a stunning floating spiral staircase that is equal parts sculptural and functional.

The kitchen and dining area.

The main floor is pretty open concept, with each room flowing into the next.

The kitchen with a wine fridge.

The kitchen is at the centre of the home and features integrated appliances and a large island, and there’s a butler’s pantry off to the side for extra storage.

The marble fireplace in the family room.

The family room is at the back of the house and overlooks the backyard. The focal point is the marble fireplace, which is one of three throughout the house.

The bedrooms and the laundry room are upstairs.

The primary bedroom.

The primary bedroom is lush with a marble fireplace and a large ensuite bathroom with radiant floor heating.

The basement recreation room with a wet bar.

There’s more living space in the basement with a large recreational room and an extra bedroom.

The wine cellar.

Although, probably the coolest thing in the basement is the glass-walled wine cellar.

Another bedroom.

As for outdoor space, the backyard is pretty standard but has a nice large patio.

The primary suite walk-in closet and ensuite bathroom.

All in all, this is a beautiful new home, so it’s a bit surprising that it has been listed seven times in the last year without selling.

A bedroom.

It first went on the market in June last year for $3,199,000, and every couple of months, they dropped the price.

The butler’s pantry.

Now, 14 Kildonan Dr. is listed for $2,390,000, which is a 25 per cent decrease in price.

The living room and front entrance.

While we can only speculate on why it’s taking so long to sell, it might have something to do with the asking price being on the high end for this neighbourhood or the fact that last year’s real estate market was exceptionally slow.

The backyard.

But with things seemingly turning around, we have a feeling this house will be snapped up in no time.
