If you’re in need of summer vacation inspiration, Air Canada is having a massive sale on worldwide packages.
Air Canada Vacations is celebrating its 50th anniversary with two weeks of major savings on destinations across the globe.
Air Canada Vacations began in the mid-1970s as Venturex, a tour operator offering total travel experiences including Skifaris, motor holidays, rail, flight and hotel options.
It changed its name to Touram in the 1980s, adding over 40 destinations within North and South America and 30 cruise line partners to its roster.
The tour operator officially became Air Canada Vacations in 1990 with an ever-growing portfolio of curated vacation packages, tours and cruise options.
Happy Birthday to our tour operator Air Canada Vacations, who is celebrating 50 years of sun, and memories!🎉
Thank you for making ACV part of your vacation plans all these years. Here’s to many more years of exciting vacations!☀️ #ACV50years pic.twitter.com/5vPpajMePJ

Today, it partners with over 600 resorts across 60 destinations, offering over 350 tours across Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand, Morocco, Dubai and Central and South America with flights on board Air Canada and Air Canada Rouge.
From now until February 23, 2025, travellers can take advantage of the anniversary sale and save big on over 50,000 vacation packages to destinations worldwide for departures until December 18, 2025.
The airline told us there are a few notable destinations that stand out in the sale.
You can get an amazing deal on vacation packages to Secrets St. Martin Resort and Spa from now until April.
If you’re looking for a relaxing summer trip, you can save big on July and August departures to resorts in Cancún, Punta Cana, Montego Bay, and Saint Lucia.
And if you’re looking for the Euro trip of your dreams, you can save big on the airline’s tours in Greece, Portugal, Spain, Ireland and Italy with May departures.
All Air Canada Vacations packages include a first checked bag and one carry-on per person to any destination.
Last month, the carrier’s new carry-on baggage fees for its basic economy fares kicked in. Air Transat has followed suit, changing its policy on carry-on and checked bags for its cheapest fares.
