Pick-your-own tulip farm in Ontario with more than 3 million blooms re-opening soon

Ontario’s most breathtaking tulip farm, featuring more than 3 million flowers from 175 varieties, will open for the season next month.

The weather predictions for the coming weeks may beg to differ, but as of March 20, spring is officially here, and it’s already sparking a long-lost joie de vivre in many Ontario residents.

Even better is that, along with warmer weather and green grass, some of the province’s most exciting day trips and activities are due to re-open for the season in the coming weeks, giving you all the more reason to get outside and soak up the sun. You remember the sun, right?

Perhaps one of the more spectacular destinations, located a little over an hour’s drive from Toronto, is Tasc Tulip Farm, Ontario’s own answer to the vibrant, expansive flower fields of the Netherlands.

Opening for its first season in its brand-new permanent home, Tasc is a must-visit for anyone currently lavishing in their spring fever.

The farm occupies a whopping 25 acres packed wall to metaphorical wall with delightfully delicate blooms in every colour of the rainbow, ten of which (that you’ll pick yourself) are included in your admission price, which typically ranges between $20 and $30 per person.

Beyond living out your flower fairy fantasies in the fields and picking your perfect bouquet, though, the farm offers a full suite of additional programming throughout the season to make the spring extra sweet.

On select dates during the tulip season, you can attend special events like Sip, Savour and Sax, paint nights, sunrise yoga and a special Mother’s Day flower pressing workshop, alongside magical photo-ops like a swing, kissing booth and wishing area.

While the exact dates of the 2025 tulip season are still up in the air as they, like High Park’s cherry blossoms, can vary based on weather conditions, the farm is anticipating an opening date of April 26 and will remain open until approximately mid-May.

Coming down with a major case of Tulip Fever? Tasc isn’t the only farm in Ontario that boasts breathtaking flower fields.

The nearby JP Niagara Tulip Experience, which boasts 85 different varieties of tulips, and Newmarket’s Country Cut Flowers, which offers peonies, dahlias, and sunflowers later in the summer, are both expected to open in late April.

Tasc Tulip Farm is now located at 1173 Line 3 Road in Niagara-on-the-Lake.
