Project Engineer
The province’s Ministry of Transportation is looking for a qualified engineer to join their team who can manage a variety of planning, preliminary, and detailed highway improvement projects. To qualify, you must be licensed with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), have a valid class G driver’s licence, and have a thorough knowledge of theories, principles, and practices of civil engineering related to highways.
The position, which pays anywhere from $79,972 to $108,898 based on experience, is based in Thunder Bay. The deadline for this position is Jan. 23.
Electrical Coordinator
Do you have an Electrician Trade Certificate and a valid G driver’s licence? If so, you might qualify for this Ministry of Transportation role based in Mississauga. The successful candidate will earn between $71,563 and $100,052 per year and will be responsible for assessing electrical and advancing traffic management needs.
To qualify, you must have knowledge of maintenance requirements associated with highway electrical devices and their support structures. This job opening closes on Jan. 13, so if this sounds like your dream role, you might want to apply sooner rather than later.
Senior Pharmacist
This open position with the Ministry of Health’s Drug Programs Policy and Strategy Branch could earn you up to $121,155 per year, depending on your experience. The North York-based role requires an experienced registered pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical and clinical expertise to senior management stakeholders.
The selected candidate will coordinate and support drug utilization projects and determine program and policy changes, as well as their impact and usefulness. To apply, you must be a registered pharmacist in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and have extensive knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, and pharmaceuticals to provide expert advice. Nurse Practitioner
If you’re willing to relocate for work and you’re a registered nurse, you might want to check out this job posting with the Ministry of the Solicitor General. The position is based at Kenora Jail, which is situated on the north shore of the Lake of the Woods in northwestern Ontario.
The Ministry is seeking a “caring and compassionate nurse practitioner who is passionate about primary health care” and has experience in chronic disease management, pain and system management, and mental health and addictions. To qualify, you must be registered as a Registered Nurse Extended Class (Nurse Practitioner) in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
The hours of work are 36.25 hours per week, and the successful candidate will earn anywhere from $2,068.64 to $2,643.77 per week. The deadline to apply for this role is Jan. 27.
Senior Policy Analyst
The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario is searching for an experienced analyst to join their team in Toronto to play a role in the research and analysis of policies across four regulated sectors, including liquor retail and service, cannabis retail, horse racing, and gaming.
The ideal candidate would have a background in public policy, political science, law, economics, or business administration with a minimum of three years of professional experience in policy research or analysis, ideally in a public sector role.
