Did you know you can get free refills on some beverages at Starbucks? Well, now you do, and it’s about to get even easier for customers in Canada.
Starbucks has revealed it will be extending its free refill policy on hot and iced brewed coffee or tea to include customers who are not Starbucks Rewards members in Canada from January 27, 2025.
Previously, only customers who were signed up for the coffee chain’s rewards program were able to snag a free refill. However, there are some rules you’ll need to follow to be able to snag a sip on the house.
The refill can be claimed on the same day as your purchase in-store only at participating Starbucks locations. To be eligible for a free refill, your initial order must be served in for-here ware or a clean, reusable cup.
There are also some beverages that you won’t be able to get a free refill of, including cold brew and nitro cold brew, iced tea lemonade, flavoured iced tea, and Starbucks Refreshers base.
While the expanded policy is great news for all Starbucks customers, Rewards members will need to take note of coming changes, too. From February 12, 2025, Starbucks Rewards members will also be required to use for-here ware or a reusable cup to snag a free refill.
